a. Mike Sherman of FSI mentioned that RoHS-like regulations will be implemented by China beginning March 1, 2007.
b. Mike also mentioned that equipment manufacturers are being asked to provide air emissions and other energy data for semiconductor tools and the process is being driven by SEMATECH.
c. Several members discussed challenges associated with the implementation of NFPA70E .
III. Hazardous Gas Webinar
SESHA (SERF) sponsored Webinar featured Jim Belanger of Honeywell Analytics.
Jim delivered a seminar in Practical Use of Hazardous Gas Monitoring. Chapter listened in and following the formal presentation had a discussion of our own hazardous gas monitoring systems and detection issues.
IV.2007 Meeting Schedule
January 2007,- Sharing Energy and Conservation Projects. Dan Oehlerts to Lead a roundtable with participation from each of the manufacturers and FSI at Seagate.
March 2007; UMD and UW-Stout Student Papers; Hosted by Polar Semiconductor (tentative)
