Jay discussed what he considered highlights of the April International Conference which included 8-10 of the technical sessions.
By far the Chapter members showed the most interest in NFPA70E and application to fab operations. This was identified as a topic for a future meeting.
Other topics that generated discussion were implementation of the OSHA's Hexavalent Chromium standard, introduction to Control Banding concepts, and Emission Rate calculations for semiconductor tools.
Jay presented his paper from the SESHA conference. There was discussion throughout about pros/cons of various metrics and how to drive desired behaviors through metrics instead of metrics driving the behaviors.
Members brainstormed about future meeting topics. At least two styles of meetings were identified as valuable to the membership. Conventional session with single primary speaker and: Sharing session where each member company is expected to discuss how a topic/program is implemented at their plants. The latter was genesis of the Chapter and can result in sharing useful information and tools between members.
A list of topics developed by the members is provided at the end of these minutes. Each member is asked to respond with top three choices for upcoming meetings. Please list in priority order and respond to Jay at email or phone number below by Friday July 14.
