Dr. Bryan Beamer and Dr Elbert Sorrell's students from UW Stout presented:   

• John Backus, UW-Stout - Fab Wastewater and Emerging Treatment Strategies Within the Semiconductor Industry to Reclaim Ultra-Pure Water.

• Marc Oberstar, UW-Stout- The Implementation of Control Banding Within the Semiconductor Industry.

• Jennifer Schumann, UW-Stout - Applying a Hybrid Hazard Analysis Too to Assess Wet Chemistry Process Within the Semiconductor Industry.

Dr. Bachel Han's students from UMD presented:

• Caitlin Anderson, UMD: Maximizing Metrics for Effective EH&S Program Evaluation

• Joe Slota, UMD: The New Industrial Revolution is Nanotechnology - Do We Know the Risks?

IV. Discussion and Adjournment

There was excellent interaction between students and Chapter members. A brief roundtable was conducted following the presentations and the meeting was adjourned at approximately 1:30pm.

The next meeting topic is Sharing Energy Saving Project Ideas. Meeting is planned for second quarter and will take place at Seagate.
