Earn CEU's       AIHA/ASSE/SESHA Meeting
At the suggestion of one of our members, the chapter is investigating the viability of issuing CEU's for attendance at the local chapter meetings.

Many EHS professionals with certifications such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP) and Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) need to accumulate maintenance points towards their certifications each year.

We are currently working with SESHA to determine whether we can award points for the January 13th meeting and for future chapter meetings and events.
The joint meeting of the American Industrial Hygiene Association, American Society of Safety Engineers and the Semiconductor EnvironMental, safety & health association will be held March 17th at the Best Western Hotel in Laurel, Maryland. The guest speaker,  Federal OSHA's Chief of Staff, Mary Carol Lewis, will talk about OSHA in the next century.

Time:    11:30 AM
Lunch: $20.00 per person.

Because of limited space, reservations are a must (by February 8th). Call Bob Bianconi at 301-912-4509 or Dominic Pompa at 410-765-7321.
The Semiconductor Industry Association (SIA) will be hosting the Sixth International ESH conference this year. The venue will be Old Colonial Williamsburg, Virginia. The meeting site will be the Williamsburg Marriott Hotel (757-253-0541).

The dates will be June 14th-18th, 1999, with three days of conference and at least one days of technical tours. The program will bring together some of the most outstanding speakers available in the ESH disciplines from around the world.

The conference fee is still being finalized but it will be in the neighborhood of $275.00 per person.
