Kristen Smith, President
Kristen runs her own Environmental, Health and Safety consulting business. She has worked in the occupational and product safety field in the Bay Area for over 15 years. She completed her undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering and received her MBA. She is a CSP and CHMM with experience in a diverse number of industries including biotech, pharma, food and beverage, semiconductor, solar, healthcare, computer software and hardware and nuclear. In her free time Kristen volunteers at the Humane Society Silicon Valley.

Karen Bouvier, Vice President
Karen is now a consultant at BSI EHS Services and Solutions, after many years of in-house EHS program management in high tech manufacturing and R&D companies. She specializes in chemical hazard evaluation and management, environmental compliance, emergency response, and management systems. She has served on the boards of BAESG and the San Jose Chapter of ASSE, including 3 years as co-chair of the Bay Area Safety Symposium.

Karen Sieverson, Agency Coordinator
Karen works at Facebook and provides Environmental, Health and Safety support for the Menlo Park Campus. She has over 20 years of EHS experience in various industries across the Bay Area, including aerospace, semiconductor, telecommunications and software. She specializes in EHS compliance and Environmental and Quality Management Systems. She received her BS degree from SJSU in Environmental Studies, with an emphasis in Hazardous Materials Management. She enjoys going to sporting events (hockey and baseball) and outdoor activities in her spare time.

Mary Nelson, Logistics Coordinator
Mary works at SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory as an Administrative Manager, Emergency Management Program partner and leads the Business Continuity Program. She received her degree in Biological Science from San Jose State University and has prior experience working in biotech and academia in the areas of both management and human resources. Mary volunteers for her local Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) and is a Disaster Assistance Team member for the American Red Cross.
